With over twenty-five years of experience as a museum leader, art advisor, and appraiser, Ruth Crnkovich brings a rare combination of scholarly rigor, market insight, and institutional perspective to every client relationship. Her career spans executive roles in museums, senior leadership at a global advisory firm, and ongoing service on arts boards—all grounded in formal training in art history and appraising from New York University.
Ruth began her career in curatorial roles at the Brauer Museum of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago, later serving as Executive Director of the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum and Tall Grass Arts Association. From 2011 to 2017, she was West Coast Regional Director and Senior Fine Appraiser/Advisor at Pall Mall Art Advisors (now The Fine Art Group), where she built a network of professional partners across the United States and provided advisory and appraisal services to high‑net‑worth collectors, estate planners, and wealth advisors.
Her expertise is widely recognized: she is a Certified Fine Art Specialist and a Member of the Appraisers Association of America, and has been USPAP‑certified since 2002. She has served on the boards of the Century City Arts Council, the Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park, the Museum of Contemporary Photography, and the FRIENDS of the Brauer Museum of Art.
While Ruth has stepped back from public lecturing and frequent publishing in recent years, her focus has remained on delivering discreet, high‑touch advisory services. She continues to contribute to the field—most recently writing the forward for Crush Self-Sabotage and Live Fully (2022)—and works closely with a select group of collectors, institutions, and corporate clients.
Ruth holds a Master’s degree in Art History and a Professional Certificate in Fine and Decorative Art Appraising from New York University. Her practice serves clients nationwide.
